Harold D. Putnam,  B.S., D.V.M


Dr. Putnam received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science in 1958 and his Doctor of Veterinary
Medicine Degree in 1960, both   from Texas A&M University.  He is a native of Fort Worth, Texas and a
veteran of the United States Navy, having spent four years in military service.  Dr. Putnam realized his
life-long ambition of becoming an equine practitioner when he established the Burleson Equine Hospital in
October 1961.  Since that time, Dr. Putnam has practiced his profession, continuously.  He has
simultaneously enjoyed an active role in community and professional organizations.  For several years, he
served as president of the Burleson Independent School District and as president of the Burleson Area
Chamber of Commerce.  In 1992, Dr. Putnam was honored by the Texas Veterinary Medical Association
(TVMA) as Equine Practitioner of the Year.  He has also served as a   member of the TVMA Executive Board
for seven years, and as president of TVMA in 1997.  
Dr. Putnam and his wife Janie enjoy trail riding with friends in their spare time.
 

Dr. Misty C. Jordan, B.S.,M.S., D.V.M.
Associate

Dr. Jordan received her Bachelors of Science degree in Microbiology, and her Masters of
Science degree in Veterinary Microbiology both from Texas A&M University.  She received
her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in
2006.  After graduation, she pursued a medical and surgical internship at Weatherford Equine
Medical Center in Weatherford, Texas.  Dr. Jordan's primary  interests include internal
medicine, neonatology, lameness, and reproduction.  Her background includes working
primarily with western performance horses in the cutting, showing, and rodeo arena.
